  1. The great thing about through-hiking is that now you know where the trail is everywhere and you know when you cross it on a road or highway. I usually put my hand to the roof of my car and give an emphatic w00t. 🙂

  2. “Number of van camping spots I’ve visually located in surrounding areas” I STILL am always on the lookout for those and keep a notebook in my car documenting them …just in case …
